VISION:  The Manteno Public Library District is a vital

 community center that provides educational and cultural opportunities for lifelong learning.

MISSION:  The Manteno Public Library District provides materials and services to help the residents of the library district achieve their informational, educational, and personal goals by:

        *providing convenient access to information

        *nurturing personal growth and lifelong learning

        *stimulating and encouraging an interest in reading and learning among youth and,

        *providing a resource center for the community

  Building  Project  The Manteno Public Library has now completed Phase I of our addition project. We have attached

pictures of the progression for you to view.  During the course of moving books from the old side to the new, we had many

wonderful volunteers help to make the transition much smoother.  The library board and staff would like to thank each one

of those volunteers and let them know how much we appreciate their efforts.

We hope all of our patrons will enjoy the new facility and thank you all for your patience during this process.  We ask that

you are patient for just a little while longer while we complete Phase II.  I'm sure we all can agree that when the whole

project is complete, our library will be better able to accommodate our patrons' needs.
